System Bottlenecks
Commercial ticketing platforms take days to pay out event hosts and charge up to 10% in fees. Their mobile interfaces load slowly, creating bottlenecks at event entrances during guest check-in.
Architectural Move
We built Silroad on SvelteKit. The platform handles ticket purchases via Stripe, updates promoter sales charts in real time, and uses a web-camera scanner to authorize entries at the gate.
Execution Path
Promoter Dashboard: We built charts in Svelte to display live ticket sales data.
Payment Integration: We wired Stripe checkout routes to trigger ticket generation upon receipt verification.
Mobile Scanner: We wrote a HTML5 camera scanner that reads ticket QR codes directly in the mobile browser.

Under-the-hood Challenge
Avoiding database read spikes when hundreds of guests arrive at the door at the same time. We solved this by hash-encrypting the tickets and caching the valid hashes in Cloudflare KV at the edge, bypassing SQL queries during check-in.
Silroad moves event ticketing to a serverless stack. Caching ticket credentials at the network edge speeds up check-in queues and keeps payment integration direct and low-cost.
